Kvassteinåga power plant was placed just after the Kinnforsen power plant, which allows us to use the water twice. The turbine pipe from the dam down to the power station is buried and is not visible in an area covered by spruce forests and agricultural areas. What is unique about this project is that the turbine pipe crosses below the Nordland railway line, which presented special challenges.
The power station building itself is located right by Elsfjord.
Kvassteinåga power plant received the very first electricity certificate as part of the Swedish-Norwegian electricity certificate scheme.
