Reinli power plant

The power plant, which is located in Sør-Aurdal municipality in Oppland county, was originally built by Norsk Grønnkraft AS in 2007/08 and had its official opening with great festivities in June 2008.

The unique feature of this power plant is its 3,000 metre long penstock. The terrain is very steep and hilly in the last bit towards the power plant, which presented significant challenges for the local contractor, Brødrene Dokken AS.

The challenges were resolved in an exemplary manner, and the power plant is now an example to be emulated.
